Terms of use
Last updated 14 September 2026. Operated by SDT Electrical Services Ltd.
1. The software
SDT Electrical Apps is a working tool for electrical contracting firms. It is not an official form of the IET, NICEIC or any other scheme. Layouts, labels and reports are original to Simon Timmons and SDT Electrical Services Ltd.
The electrician who signs the job remains responsible for the inspection, test results, coding and the certificate. The software does not replace BS 7671, manufacturer instructions, or your professional judgement.
2. Licence
When you create a company account you receive a non-exclusive licence to use the software for your firm’s electrical work. You do not own the code, design or documentation. You must not copy, resell, scrape or reverse-engineer the product.
Software and design are copyright Simon Timmons. All rights reserved.
3. Accounts
Each company has its own workspace. You must keep logins private and only give access to people in your firm. The plan includes 3 logins; extra logins are charged as set out in Fees. You are responsible for the data your staff enter.
4. Fees
New companies get a 7-day trial. After that the subscription is £29 + VAT per month per company unless we agree another price in writing. That monthly price includes 3 user logins. Extra logins are £10 + VAT per extra user. Payment is collected by Stripe. If payment fails or you cancel, access can be locked when the paid period ends.
5. Photos and AI
Board and receipt photos are sent to a vision service (Google Gemini, or another provider we configure) so the app can read labels and figures. Photos you attach to a test sheet stay in your company job record and are not sent for reading. You must not photograph anything you are not allowed to process. Check every auto-filled chart before you issue a certificate.
6. Ending the service
You may export your company data and close the account in Settings. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, do not pay, or put other users at risk. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
